Can I be a Christian and still have fun?

Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, "Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day IS holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

Matt. 25:21 His Lord said to him, "Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of the Lord."

Proverbs 13:9 The life of the Godly is full of light and joy, but the sinner's light is snuffed out.

Joy, fun, and celebration are important parts of Christian faith because they lift our spirits and help us to see our inner beauty.
 

What kinds of things are not appropriate when having fun?

1 Peter 4:3 You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy...their feasting amd drunkenness and wild parties.

Fun is wrong when it is self-centered or indulgent. Fun is wrong when it involves sinful acts, and when it has conditions that tempt you into sin.
